1. Our Approach — Privacy by Design
Lexi (ailawyer.org.uk) is built to answer your legal questions without asking you to sign up, create an account, or provide identifying information in order to use the tool. The assistant does not request your contact details; the messages you send are saved as part of the conversation session that generates your replies.
2. What We Do Not Ask For
- We do not require or request your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
- Lexi does not ask you to create an account to use the tool.
- We do not ask you to identify yourself. If you include personal details in a message, they become part of the conversation that is saved in order to answer you.
3. Conversations
Conversations with Lexi run in a session. Your messages, and the replies you receive, are saved in that session so the assistant can produce each answer. If you include personal details such as full names, case numbers or financial information, they become part of that saved conversation, so please type only what your question needs.
4. Technical Logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process limited technical information — such as IP address and request metadata — for security, abuse prevention, and to keep the service running. Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to that processing.
5. Cookies
This page loads Cloudflare's web analytics beacon as part of our hosting service (see section 4). Messages you send in the chat are saved in your conversation session as described in section 3.
6. Third-Party Links
Our guides link to official sources such as GOV.UK, Citizens Advice, and legislation.gov.uk. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.
7. Privacy Questions
Messages you send are saved as part of your conversation session. If you have any privacy question, you can contact us.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this page.
